Also on our Podcast at present (from late evening Sunday 21st May 2006) are current Album Zone Programmes from Johnny Reece, Rich Phoenix, Richard Bismarck, and Gil Legine.
Oh, and here's a thought.
We noted with some alarm that our 'allowed monthly Bandwidth' for our Podcast was disappearing fast - much too fast, if truth be told, with 40% of it already gone, within just 8 days.
So, if you are a regular listener, do download then listen at your convenience, if you will, if you happen to listen to the same Programme more than once (rather than 'Play' from the Podcast Site.)
Why ? Well, Downloading it once so you can listen anytime, means just one use of bandwidth, whereas playing it every day from the Site itself uses up the same bandwidth every time you do it, meaning we could be left with less bandwidth, and Programmes, for other Zoneheads to listen to.
So, keep this in mind, and we'll all be happy, delirious, and other exaggerations. As much as we'd like to take the next step up and upgrade our Podcast options - we were shocked to find the next available upgrade from 4shared (our Hoster of choice) is a frighteningly whopping amount of space, yes, but an even more scary $5000 Dollars upfront for a year. Yikes !
We can't afford that (unless one of you out there is exceedingly rich) so we'll have to stick with what we have.
Basically - want to listen to a Show once ? Sure, hit the ol' 'Play' button and get on down.
More than once ? Great if you download, to play at your leisure - it helps us spread our bandwidth around.

Thanks !

My thanks to Album Zone listener Steve Siren from Leicester, and also to Rich Phoenix, for the news sent to us about the forthcoming Album (the first in, oh, about 40 years !) from the former lead singer of the Shangri-las, the one and only Mary Weiss. Let me tell you, a certain Johnny Reece is frothing at the mouth over this, as Mary is his all-time favourite female voice. Is he nervous though, at this news ? You bet. We all wonder how it will sound, and certainly don't expect teen tales of 'Mary and Jimmy' and motorbike traumas. The teen angst will be long gone, naturally, so this release will be very interesting. However, to keep Mr Reece pleased, we do have some pics of Mary at the top of this page. And why not ?

RTI :

Great news from RTI, as we hear that Sky give them their official EPG (Electronic Programme Guide) number, on June 5th. So, at a glance, a further 8 Million people will be able to see RTI on their Programme Guide, and will be able to access the station with just one click. I don't need to tell you what this means for The Album Zone now, do I ? Well, we look forward to being in many more households throughout Europe and beyond, in crystal clear stereo, too.

Oh, and DAB Radio news to come shortly - more on that when we have all the details.

Thanks for listening, thanks for reading, and thanks, as ever, for your support.
